Records reveal Cedeno did not participate in a written payment contract with his client and "some or all" of the $10,000 was paid up front. Cedeno apparently by no means stored those funds into a trust bank account needed of legal counsels.
" Barragan and individuals of his household consistently telephoned (Cedeno) and left communications for him to return phone calls," state bar reports show. "( Cedeno) did not return the phone call or alternatively keep in touch with Barragan and/or his relatives about the case."
The contact number for both his business have been cut off, although his website or blog can still be discovered online.

Cedeno was grappling with 20 matters of delinquency from 5 instances, consisting of a 2011 case in NYC. The various incidents were in Kittitas, Island, Pierce and King counties, and federal court in Idaho.
In the other several cases purportedly consisting of acts of mismanagement, the disciplinary counsel says Cedeno spent cash from fresh individuals but never submitted vital formalities in their cases, ignored telephone call, e-mails and message from the clienteles and other legal practitioners and apparently lied about his activities.
In one such case, Cedeno was given $23,500 to stand for a clientele dealing with drug and firearm charges but "did nothing to help his case," and consulted various other legal practitioners to substitute him in court.
A crooked defense advocate whose cases in New York included murders and violent attacks resigned after findings of claimed delinquency by the New York State Bar Association.
The punitive council also points out Cedeno under no circumstances submitted a personal restraint petition and did not give-up fees paid by Barragan that "he never secured or incurred."
Cedeno also stood for Benjamin Lopez Jr., who was imprisoned to beyond 15 years behind bars in affiliation to the killing of a man in Quincy in 2019.
Peter Cedeno tabled a "resignation in lieu of discipline," effective Sept. 18. He is no more permitted to practice in any judicature where he is certified, that includes state and federal government courts, and is not allowed to get readmitted to the state bar.
While he represented Barragan, Cedeno consulted with him twice personally and spoke to him more than once over the telephone.
In a document to the bar association Office of Disciplinary Counsel, Cedeno wrote rather than defend against the accusations, he wished to forever bow out from the bar. Cedeno was accepted to the bar in 1990.
In NYC, Cedeno was contracted by Miguel Barragan, who was found guilty of 2 counts of child molestation and attack in the first degree. In January 2019, Barragan contacted Cedeno and talked to him regarding the case. The same month, Barragan chose Cedeno to file an individual restraint petition, paying Cedeno $10,000.
Cedeno, who has workplaces in both New York and New Jersey, has been an acquainted figure in Manhattan court, recently defending Jason Williams, who was declared guilty of homicide in the second degree and three counts of assault in the first degree in 2016 in the killing of a 22-year-old man in the Jack in the Box drive-thru in Moses Lake.
